WHAT WE DO
What it is
Teaching Freedom is a respect-based approach to education that offers positive ways to educate our children and train our teachers, supporting the development of the whole child and the whole teacher.
What it does
Teaching Freedom inspires teachers to teach more creatively and freely and empowers children to find their own preferred learning style, so all children can learn effectively at the same time.
How we do it
By making teaching and learning fun, meaningful and relevant again for everyone by combining such methods as Creative Visualisations, Inclusive Language Skills and Imaginative Behaviour Management Techniques.
Creative Visualisations
Creative Visualisations (CVs) are stories that enable children to experience and embody the key learning points of any lesson by bringing learning to life. They capture and stimulate the imagination of their audience and are great fun. Watch clips demonstrating CVs.
Inclusive Language Skills
By speaking in ways that incorporate visual, audio, kinaesthetic, gustatory and olfactory language and stimuli, teachers involve far more of their class far more often.
Imaginative Behaviour Management Techniques
Many children termed ‘difficult’ are actually bored, excluded and disenfranchised. These techniques demonstrate significantly improved behaviour in a very short space of time by working with these children to set the boundaries.
Teacher Training
We currently run 2-Day training courses for teachers followed up by a small number of classroom visits to provide teachers with support and positive feedback.
